Yazan Iwidat

Yazan Iwidat is a contemporary dancer and choreographer. He has been working professionally in the field of dance and choreography since 2009. Iwidat has been trained by international choreographers in different dance techniques such as flying low, release technique and floor work. He is also part of the founding team of the Ramallah Contemporary dance Festival that has been running since 2006.

Yazan started choreographing in 2014, his first performance Empty head was choreographed in an artistic residency within Eye on Palestine festival in Belgium and Ramallah Contemporary Dance Festival in Palestine.

In 2016, Iwidat choreographed his second piece Running Away within an artistic residency with Khashabi Theatre Palestine. This performance has been played in Ra Festival (Palestine), Under Construction Festival (Belgium), Bipod (Lebanon), Ramallah Contemporary Dance Festival (Palestine) and Fringe Festival (Scotland).
