Introducing Our Scholarship Dancer of 2015

The talented Moroccan dancer Chakib Yemlahi received a scholarship from Dancing on the Edge and the Henny Jurriëns Foundation in order to attend the Amsterdam Summer Intensive 2015 workshop program. Participants include more than 300 dancers from 36 countries, who study with teachers from some of the world’s major companies for 3 weeks. Thanks to a generous grant from the Imperium Foundation of Krisztina de Châtel as well as some help from Young Artfund Amsterdam, Yemlahi was able to make the trip. Yemlahi performs in the workshop showings on 3, 10, and 17 July at Chassé Dance Studios in Amsterdam.
Since 2012, Dancing on the Edge has provided numerous scholarships for talented dancers from the Middle East and North Africa to attend this program.
