“Listening to stitch together a collective narrative”
Dancing on the Edge
Dancing on the Edge is an artistic platform and festival that moves between different borders, bodies, histories and (pre)conceptions. We seek to challenge singular narratives with exciting and new artistic formats to engage both artists and spectators.
We are based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and work both locally and globally, specifically –but not exclusively- with artists and practitioners from the West Asia and North Africa region and its diaspora. Dancing on the Edge (DOTE) curates multidisciplinary festivals, organizes ongoing programs, offers opportunities for professionals, and we have our own Online Magazine!
Please go to How We Work… to read about our values and focus points, how we are (de-)constructing the festival (and platform) to embrace collective experience, and how we see form and content as intertwined.
In September, December, March and June. Decentralized, entangled, in resonance, incomplete and following another rhythm.
The year of listening program closed in June and was about performance spaces that make the web between us visible. Have a glimpse by watching our mapping video!
