Dancing on the Edge seeks to involve different groups of society in its activities and contributes to educating the younger generation about art in general, as well as art(s) and culture from the Middle East and North Africa specifically.
We offer a range of participatory projects, led by visiting artists from the MENA region, to secondary schools and cultural institutions across the Netherlands. These projects, focussed primarily on dance, challenge participants to partake in different art forms and to broaden their cultural understanding and experience.
The programs consist of the following elements:
• Information material for the secondary school curriculum
• Participatory art workshops (dance, theater and/or music)
• Experience in the creation of a (short) performance and/or the visit of a performance
• Discussion with the artists
