Scholarships 2019

CHOUROUK EL-MAHATI & ABDELBASSET SALEM

For the eighth time in a row Dancing on the Edge offers scholarships to talented and motivated dancers from the Middle East and North Africa. This year, Chourouk El-Mahati (Morocco) and Salem Abdelbasset (Algeria) have been selected for the Dancing on the Edge Scholarship 2019. Chourouk and Salem are invited to take part in the Amsterdam Summer Intensive Program, organized by the Henny Jurriëns Studio. The dancers will also attend performances at Julidans Festival.

During three weeks the dancers will work intensively on their dance skills, by participating in technique classes and workshops given by  teachers representing the most important companies and styles in today’s contemporary dance world. At the end of each workshop week there will be informal open showings at HJS that can be attended free of charge: check their website for more info.
