One (Wo)Man Show – Political Theater

Taher Najib

Dancing on the Edge kicked off its ‘One (Wo)Man Show’ series in 2012 with a lecture-performance called ‘Political Theater’ by Palestinian playwright and actor Taher Najib. The series  features performances and debates with prominent artists from the Middle East/North Africa region.
In this program, Najib recited scenes and monologues from three of his own works (Sea Wall, Both Upon a Time, and In Spitting Distance), and afterwards went into discussion with invited guests and the public.

This program was organized in cooperation with De Balie (Amsterdam) and Het Nutshuis (The Hague) and made possible through the support of  Mediterranean Crossing.
