Sea Wall

Taher Najib / Moneer Bakri

Set in Palestine at the end of the British Mandate in the late 1940’s, Sea Wall is a mono drama which tells the story of a Palestinian man and his family.
Forced to leave their home because of the fighting, and watching their town being destroyed from the vantage of a hilltop, the father shares his dreams with his wife and son. As the months pass, the dreams become their only means of communication. His son, destined to be executed by the British because he helped a Palestinian prisoner to escape, is the catalyst for their awakening, which comes just too late.

Performed by: Taher Najib.

“..moving and ironic personal drama.” – Theatre Mania, London, about In Spitting Distance (another performance by Taher Najib).
