The objective of Dance Refl-action was the establishment of a forum/platform for reflection and action on contemporary dance pedagogy in the Euro-Mediterranean region, with special focus on the Arab countries.
The program activities included 1) the compilation of available literature on contemporary dance in the Arab world and to make it available online in Arabic and English; 2) the sponsorship of four dancers/dance researchers from the Arab world and Europe to conduct research on contemporary dance education in Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, Tunisia, Morocco, and Egypt; 3) the support and organisation of a dance training program in Jordan, Morocco, and Egypt to create a reflexive space of dialogue.
