About us
Dancing on the Edge (DOTE) is a platform and festival. The focus is on contemporary theatre, dance, film and installations with roots in West Asia, North Africa, their diasporas and beyond.
The Legacy & Seeds DOTE Festival 2024 is taking place in Amsterdam, Utrecht and The Hague in November-December 2024. It is an interdisciplinary performing arts festival created within an ecosystemic paradigm. The local is embedded in the global, and the relationships and encounter between artist-visitor-festival-planet are central.
The role(s)
Dancing on the Edge is looking for (an) intern(s) who can take on a range of programming, production and/or marketing and communications tasks. These include general organizational assistance, curation, co-ordination and/or marketing tasks such as managing social media channels, producing marketing reports, assisting with content marketing and developing creative campaigns.
The specific tasks will be agreed upon in consultation and can be supplemented by a research component. This role can be fulfilled by one or more interns depending on interests, skill-set and time commitment.
Who you are
- You have affinity with (international) dance, theatre and installations
- You have affinity with the DOTE core values (see HOW WE WORK) and the festival themes
- You are pro-active, motivated, and able to working independently
- You like working in a small team, are team-spirited, flexible and coolheaded under stress
- You are a digital native, with a passion for everything online
- You are fluent in spoken and written English, and preferably competent in Dutch
- You live in or near Amsterdam, Utrecht or The Hague (preferable)
- You have knowledge of spoken and written Arabic (bonus)
- You are available from September to December 2024 (exact time period is negotiable)
