Egoist or altruist, individual or the bigger picture, activist or pacifist, dreamer or realist? Or just yourself? What is your goal and what price are you prepared to pay for it?
For the production Ticket to Paradise, the resident choreographer of Theatergroep DOX, Sassan Saghar Yaghmai, who is originally from Iran, was inspired by his personal political activities in the past and by the ancient Persian theater form, Ta’zieh. The work is based on religious figures who become examples of the ultimate battle to reach a personal goal through their martyrdom.
