For more then twenty years Frank Cassenti had been making films about important jazz musicians, including Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, and Duke Ellington. For him, music is emotion in action, and he uses his intimate knowledge of music as well as his own film making style to convey this vision to an audience.
Cassenti’s films were selected by many international film festivals and won many prizes, such as Fipa d’Or, Django d’Or, and Prix de la Sacem.
