Sabri Saad El Hamus

Sabri Saad El Hamus left Egypt at the age of 21 for The Netherlands. He joined the Theater School of Arnhem, played with Toneelgroep Amsterdam, De Trust and De Gebroeders Flint and appeared in several television series and movies.

In 1988 he founded the Maqam Lamaqul Foundation with choreographer Terence Roe. He also developed a series of five performances called Pax Islamica and based on the five pillars of Islam (Shahada, Salat, Zakat, Sawm and Hadj). He was appointed the artistic director of De Nieuw Amsterdam (DNA) in 2008.Sabri Saad El Hamus left Egypt at the age of 21 for the Netherlands.
