Linked to the performance Badke, Dancing on the Edge organizes a number of dabke workshops. This popular folk dance from the Middle East with a long and rich history is danced in groups, and is known for its energetic ‘stamping’ foot games. Dabke is an intense, joyful dance form that combines grace, dynamics, and lively music. It is not only limited to weddings and other festive events, but is also an important performance genre in the Middle East.
