Mine, Ours and Theirs: Creating Dance between Shifting Identities – Discussion

Nicholas Rowe / Taoufiq Izeddiou, Omar Rajeh

Nicholas Rowe, a specialist in international dance studies, will talk with choreographers and dance festival directors Taoufiq Izeddiou (Morocco) and Omar Rajeh (Lebanon). Both have many years’ experience in the West, but are taking that baggage in search of a new dance idiom, which is also based on the dance traditions they grew up with. They are also both trying to raise the levels of the dance scene in their own countries.
