Patricia Bardi / Al Balad Theatre

Amman

In the framework of a project about Dance Pedagogy, named Dance Refl-Action, a series of workshops at the Al Balad Theatre was programmed by Rosemary Martin of the University of Auckland, New Zealand, in collaboration with Dancing on the Edge.

Focusing on different aspects of dance, the workshops were taught by a number of prominent teachers. The first one to be invited was Patricia Bardi. Patricia is based in Amsterdam and considered an expert on vocal dance, or the integration of the voice and movement. For this workshop, she developed a series of exercises based on the Arabic alphabet.
