We are delighted to announce the results of the thirteenth edition of the Dancing on the Edge Scholarship Program. This program provides aspiring young talent from West Asia and North Africa with a unique opportunity to boost their dance skills by attending the Amsterdam Summer Intensive, a three-week training from 8 to 26 July 2024.
We are proud to have awarded these scholarships in collaboration with Henny Jurriëns Studio (HJS), a prestigious dance-training institute for professional-level dancers, since 2012.
Emar Kharboutli from Syria, Aymen Trabelsi from Tunisia and Gülsün Buse Cingöz from Türkiye have been selected this year.
We are very disappointed that Emar did not get her visa, and we hope she will get other opportunities very soon.
Over the course of three weeks, the participants join classes by renowned teachers and choreographers in a wide range of styles and techniques including ballet, contemporary, Gaga, and more. They participate in stimulating workshops focused on repertoire and creation. In addition, the program offers a valuable opportunity for dancers to immerse themselves in an international environment alongside other dedicated dancers in pursuit of growth and connectivity in their professional careers.
Keep an eye on our social media channels to stay up to date on Aymen and Emar’s activities and creative process. And check our calendar for workshop-showings and solo presentations during the period of the scholarship.
