Nicolas Rowe will give a lecture in Utrecht on the theme: ‘Avoiding Victim Art: negotiating sympathy and contempt when presenting dance from a traumatized community’. Rowe is a lecturer in dance studies at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. From 2000 to 2008, he was working in the Palestinian Territories. The lecture is held as part of the Why Theatre?! series, organised by the Theatre Science chair group of Utrecht University.
