Dancers from Tunisia, Syria and Egypt have arrived in The Netherlands for their first residency period! During the month November, the Tunisian director/choreographer Meher Debbich Awachri is working with dancer/choreographer Hussein Khadour (Syria), dancer/choreographer Hazem Header (Egypt), actor Mahrez Taher (Tunisia), and the Dutch based dancer/actor Maciej Beczek (Poland) on the new theater performance Plastic. They will present a work-in-progress of Plastic, followed by an in-depth after talk, on the 2nd of December in Het Huis Utrecht.
After a second residency period in 2015, Plastic will premier during the fifth edition of Dancing on the Edge Festival in November 2015.
