Rituals of Change Research Series #3 Space + ? = Place

Let’s get (meta)physical! Let’s walk.

…. Or how to be somewhere. A morning walk through some of the layers of the history of a structure, a place.

These questions form some of the starting points of this walk: How could walking become an act of moving inward rather than forward, and an act of moving with rather than moving through life and all that surrounds us? What moves through us as we walk? What are the (embodied) cartographies that emerge? Which are made visible, and which remain concealed?

How is a walking body entangled with the whole that constitutes the world we move with and through? Can we practice deep listening, and what does ‘entanglement’ sound like?

Date: Sunday 12 December 2021
Walk: 11:00 – 13:00, starting at the NDSM ferry stop on the Amsterdam Central Station side
Reflection: 19:00-20:00, online.
Participation fee: €10,-
