Omar Fallah was born in the province of Nasriyah and studied Cinema at the Academy of Fine Arts, Baghdad.
He went on to participate in a film making workshop around the subject of Human Rights, organised by the German Human Rights Institute in cooperation with the Goethe Institute and the Independent Film and Television College (Baghdad). In the course of his workshop, he made his first documentary film, Sing Your Song. He lives in Nasriyah and works as a director in one of the Iraqi television stations.
