2020 scholarschips goes ONLINE!

We are proud to present the first ever DOTE online masterclass program! For three weeks, from the 11th till the 31st of July, 15 dancers from the Middle East and North Africa will work intensively on their dance skills, by participating in technique classes and workshops given by teachers representing the most important companies and styles in today’s contemporary dance world.

Following the Corona measures, that have interrupted our regular program of inviting two dancers to Amsterdam for the DOTE scholarship each summer, we’ve decided to move the scholarships 2020 online! Together with Henny Jurriens Studio, organizer of the Amsterdam Summer Intensive, and our longtime partner in the DOTE scholarships, we’ve created an online program with some of the best teachers for dancers who want to develop themselves further professionally.

Experienced performers, choreographers, and teachers Michael Schumacher, Alleyne Dance, Christina Mertzani, and Ian Robinson will each go into workshops and classes with the 15 selected dancers through Zoom. Click on the project below to read more about the program.

Update October 5th:

The first DOTE Online Masterclass Program was a great success for all parties involved: the dancers, the teachers and Dancing on the Edge all gave positive feedback. If you’d like to see what the masterclass program looked like, take a look at the video report:
