Help us with Jheronimus B.

Dancing on the Edge and Kids van Amsterdam Oost present an exciting dance participation project

On  1 November 2015, the monumental buildings at Zeeburgerdijk 19-21 open their doors for the performance Jheronimus B. This day, the spaces of Kids Amsterdam Oost, the Eritrea Centre, and Ons Suriname operate as a theater. The audience is taken on a journey to different exciting places and corners, where theatrically performances give substance to paintings of Jheronimus Bosch. Prior to this on route performance, there is a short introduction by an art historian on the life and works of Bosch.

Under the inspiring leadership of Khalid BenGhrib, a Moroccan choreographer and dance teacher, teenagers from Kids van Amsterdam Oost, students of the ROC and ‘older’ dancers (50+) follow several master classes, after which they together create the mentioned performance.

You can help making this unique project possible. To pay for the travel expenses (Casablanca-Amsterdam), accommodation expenses and reimbursement of the choreographer, we rely on your contribution. As a result, we can make sure that on 1 November the participants present to you with great pleasure and enthusiasm what they have learned. To support us, please click here.

Khalid BenGhrib also takes part in the Dancing on the Edge Festival with his performance Black Table.
