Art as an Anchor in a Changing World

Journalist Chris Keulemans will interview three choreographers from the Middle East, Ayman Abdel Fattah (Egypt), Omar Rajeh (Lebanon) and Mey Sefan (Syria). They will talk about their work and enter into discussion with each other and the audience on topics such as the differences and similarities with the work of Western choreographers, and the taboo on physicality in some countries in the Middle East. The discussion is organized in collaboration with Debatcentrum De Waag. The debate will be held in English.
