Gaza Solidarity Circle

Dancing on the Edge & Tugela85 host Gaza Solidarity Circle with poetry, storytelling and readings from the Ashtar Theatre’s Gaza Monologues. The Gaza Monologues are testimonies written by young people in 2010 after the first war on the Gaza Strip. They highlight the horrors, hopes and resilience of the people of Gaza. They have not lost their relevance.

We join other artists, theatres and cultural organizations in marking the International Day of Solidarity with Palestinian People.
We will serve soup. After the circle, some of us will join the demonstration in support of Palestine at Amsterdam CS.

In exchange for using some texts of the Gaza Monologues, a financial contribution will be made to Ashtar Theatre’s fund, which is dedicated to the psychological well-being of Palestinian children and trauma therapy. Donations are welcome.
