Lana Nasser

Lana Nasser is a Jordanian actress, dancer, playwright and translator. She has performed her works in Jordan, the USA and in Europe. She is the co-founding director of Aat Network which provides a platform for artists and for empowerment and creative self-expression programs for women. She holds a Masters degree in Consciousness and Dream Studies.

Lana Nasser intertwines language, movement and symbolism and turns them into relevant performances with pressing urgency. Her work takes her from city theaters to refugee camps. Her previous solo In the Lost and Found: Red Suitcase was part of the Dancing on the Edge Festival 2011 and received the Arabic women’s theater writing award. Nasser is now based in The Netherlands where she is working on her latest book Bint Ibrahim – Daughter of Abraham
