Ossama Halal

Ossama Halal started to work in 1994, participating in hip-hop dancing performances, street theater performances, advertisements and music videos, as a dancer and choreographer. Halal graduated from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus in 2004. He founded Koon Theater Group and directed Syria’s first street performance within the second year of his studies.
Since then, he has directed several dance and theatrical performances, including street and site specific theater performances as well as plays based on folklore legends and tales. He has also acted in many television series. In 2009, he was named Best Director in the Cairo Festival for Experimental Theater.
