Spotlight On: Arabic-language Theater

This year the festival presents three Arabic-language performances with English surtitles; Monstranum’S, a mad burlesque about how those in power hold on to their positions, by the renowned Tunisian theater director Ezzeddine Gannoun (El Hamra Theatre); the internationally acclaimed solo performance D-Sisyphe by young Tunisian theater artist Meher Debbich Awachri, about doubt, rebellion, and losing faith; and a double bill with exceptional theater from Palestine: The School & Koum Yaba.
